About Mike

Michael Keith Morasco was born in New Orleans, LA in December of 1955. The Morasco family moved to Poway, CA in 1959 and then on to Escondido in 1967. Mike attended Glen View Elementary School, Orange Glen Junior High School and Orange Glen High School, graduating from “O.G.” in 1974.
Mike attended college at Palomar Junior College, Brigham Young University, California State University Northridge and U.C.L.A. Prior to completing college Mike served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon his return Mike married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Marler.
After completion of college and earning his degree, certification and California State licensure in Physical Therapy, Mike and Pam returned to Escondido to start his professional career. This included working at Kaiser Permanente, the establishment of San Marcos Physical Therapy in 1984 and participating in the growth and expansion of Physical Therapy and Hand Centers, Inc. from 1998 to present.
Mike and Pam have four children (Jamie, Jared, Carli and Kelsey), two son / daughter-in-laws (Jon and Arielle) and one granddaughter (Giada).
In 1990 Mike was elected to the first of three terms as Trustee of the Escondido Union High School District. Mike has also served on the Valley Center Community Planning Group and has been a Board Member for the (Escondido) East Valley Association and Charles Hume Pool. Mike has also been active in Boy Scouts of America over the past several decades.
Mike remains very active in his church and has served in a variety of callings and offices including Bishop (pastor) of a congregation for over five years.
Mike is a strong advocate of physical fitness and enjoys many outdoor activities with mountain biking and cycling being two of his favorite passions.
